The American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) continues to share the Good News, start churches and schools, respond to special needs and speak out for social and economic justice. In partnership with American Baptist Foundation we recognize that together we are the hands, feet and heart of Jesus in a world that overlooks and ignores the pain and suffering of many around us.

Please consider the following ministries in your plans:

• Children in Poverty - Over 16 million children live in poverty in the United States and Puerto Rico. We can provide a brighter future.
• Disabilities Ministries - Support opportunities for employment, training, education and service for disabled persons, while also enabling them to connect with local, state and national support networks.
• Disaster Response - Hurricanes, tsunamis and other natural occurrences may be short-lived, but their effects on human life and property last, most likely, many years. Provide assistance to those in urgent need.
• Community Outreach Ministries - More than a dozen and a half of these centers across the United States and Puerto Rico offer ministries developed to meet specific needs of children and families in their communities.
